Villa Aloha terms and conditions

Reservations, bookings and accommodation :

  • Bookings are accepted on a first come first serve basis and at the discretion of Villa Aloha the guesthouse.

  • Guests will be liable for payment of booking requests once accepted by Villa Aloha the guesthouse.

  • A time lag between a booking request and its acceptance may occur. This is due to the receipt of multiple booking requests

    at any given time.

  • It is the Guest’s responsibility to ensure that all reservation details – e.g. arrival and/or departure dates, number of persons

    and accommodation type – are correct.

  • No cancellation penalties will be incurred if a booking request is cancelled within 12 hours of submitting it.

  • Check-in: 14:00 – 16:00.

  • Check-out: 11:00.

Provision of substitute accommodation :

  • Villa Aloha can provide the Guest with adequate substitute accommodation, of the same quality, provided that the difference is objectively justified.

  • An objective justification is, for example, that the room(s) has/have become unusable, a stay has been prolonged, Villa Aloha is overbooked or Villa Aloha is undergoing an important operational activity.

  • Any extra expenses from substitute accommodation will be paid by the Villa Aloha.

Extended, shortened or early termination :

The Guest may not claim for a prolongation of their stay. If the Guest informs Villa Aloha in time that they intend to prolong their stay, Villa Aloha may consent to a renewal of the accommodation. However, Villa Aloha will not be obliged to do so. If the Guest leaves prematurely, Villa Aloha shall be entitled to charge the total agreed remuneration.

Prices, rates and VAT :

  • Prices and rates are subject to change without notice.

  • All prices and rates will be inclusive of VAT.

Payments :

All accommodation need to be paid in advance via EFT / CASH upon acceptance of booking request. Deposit moneys will be needed for keys damages and extras and No Shows.

Refunds :

  • Refunds are done at the sole discretion of Villa Aloha.

  • An administration fee of R250.00 is applicable.

Cancellations and changes :

  • 2 weeks prior 25 % cancellation fee

  • 1 week prior 50 % cancellation fee

  • 3 days prior 75 % cancellation fee

  • 1 day prior 100 % cancellation fee

  • Bookings for the period between 15 December until 15 January carry a 50% cancellation fee on the making of the booking.

  • An administration fee of R250.00 is applicable

  • NB: Proof of payment must be provided before the booking is secured. Non-payment will result in cancellation of the booking.

Agents :

• Only Agents registered with the Villa Aloha, the guesthouse, will be allowed to make reservations on behalf of a Guest.

No shows :

See cancellation and changes.

Guest behaviour :

  • Inappropriate guest behaviour can lead to early termination of the stay, with guests being asked to vacate the premises immediately.

  • There shall be no disturbances of other guests or the neighbours by guests who stay at Villa Aloha.

Guest Visitors :

• Visitors to the Lodge are considered as guests and need to behave accordingly.

  • Resident guests may receive non-resident visitors until 23:00.

  • No loud music or partying allowed.

  • NB: Visitors of guests are not allowed to spend the night without prior consent from the guesthouse management.

  • NB: An additional payment needs to be made for sleepover visitors.

  • NB: Guests will not be allowed to leave the premises unless the additional payment has been made.

 

Children :

Children are welcome but should remain under the care and supervision of the parent. Parents are required to take full responsibility for the conduct of the child/children. Failure to do so will be deemed as inappropriate behaviour.

Smoking :

Smoking is not permitted outside the designated smoking area. Smoking outside the designated smoking area will carry a penalty amounting to the amount of one nights’ stay. Smoking in non designated areas will be deemed as inappropriate behaviour.

Animals :

Pets are unfortunately not permitted on the property. Bringing pets will be deemed as inappropriate behaviour.

Noise and offensive language :

Guests may not make excessive noise and offensive language will be deemed inappropriate behaviour.

Services :

Any service provided by Villa Aloha, the guesthouse, can be terminated at it’s discretion.

Liability :

Guests attend this establishment at their own risk. Villa Aloha, its agent/s and/or its employee/s ("the Guesthouse”) shall not be liable for, and the Guests hereby waive/s and abandon/s any claims of whatever nature including but not limited to that for theft, injury, loss or damage of whatever nature, against Villa Aloha, whether arising from the Lodge’s default, negligence or otherwise.

The Guest, in addition to the aforesaid, hereby indemnify Villa Aloha against any claims which may arise from whatever nature, whether arising from the Guesthouse default, negligence or otherwise.

Damages :

Guests agree to inform Villa Aloha, the guesthouse, of any damages to property. Guest/s will be held liable for all breakages and damages to the property of Villa Aloha the gusethouse including stains and burns to any fabric or carpet.

Keys/Gate Remote :

Keys are part of the room and becomes the Guest’s responsibility. R500.00 per set will be taken off of deposit moneys in case of loss/damage to the key set.

Ratings and reviews :

The guesthouse only accepts ratings and reviews submitted directly by clients on our website, all of which will be responded to accordingly.

Fire/Candle :

  • Candle burning is strictly prohibited in all private rooms.

  • The fireplace is strictly prohibited to make a fire in, as it is against the law in South Africa to have an in – house

    fire.

House Services

  • Continental breakfast is served daily at 6:30 – 10:00 AM with full rate booking.

  • Rooms will be serviced Daily at 11 AM.

    Water and Electricity Usage:

  • The whole hospitality sector has been identified for excess use of water and electricity.

  • Please switch off fans, air-cons, heaters, TV’s and lights when not in use or when you leave your room.

  • Please limit shower time to 5 minutes.

  • All lights of Villa Aloha, guesthouse, will be shut down at 23:00.

    NB: When load shedding is happening, please switch off all appliances including air-cons, microwaves, electric kettles and fridges.

Glass:

  • No glass containers allowed in the swimming pool or area next to the pool.

Eating areas:

  • Please do not eat on the beds.

  • Eating areas are: on the dining room table, patio table or braai area.

Hooting:

  • Please do not hoot in front of the gate, there is a buzzer next to the gate to press.
